We got married in March 2009 and had the pleasure of Neil's professional DJ service. Many things go towards making the day very special and we are so thankful that we had you looking after the music! The timing, volume, choice of music and sound quality was superb. From the songs used for walking up and down the aisle, jazzy tunes for the guests outside, to the dinner and dancing music later on it was perfect. Neil really knows how to get the guests up and onto the dance floor!
One of my colleagues at work told me about a wedding she went to, where her husband and she never even got 'round to eating or drinking anything that night, as the music was so awesome - they just HAD to be on the dance floor the whole time (and they’re not really the wedding dancing type!) Just when they wanted to return to their table for a sip of wine or a bite to eat, the next fabulous song started! I just knew that THIS was the type of DJ we wanted for our wedding! I quickly made a few calls to find out who this DJ was, and it turned out to be Neil. I immediately booked him, without any hesitation! And we weren't disappointed at all! Having Neil as our DJ was one of the best investments of the evening! Our guests had a ball of a time! Neil was professional right from the start and very approachable. We met him at his house a few weeks before the wedding and discussed the music. He knew exactly what we wanted, but most importantly, what the guests wanted to hear! He can definitely read a crowd and have everyone dancing till the wee hours of the morning! Thanks again, Neil for some awesome memories! I'll still send you a few of our dance floor photos!
I've had the pleasure of being at a few weddings and special occasions where Neil has been the DJ. Without a doubt, I can say that having Neil as the DJ, will only make the day more special.
He has a knack of knowing what music to play that will get the people on the dance floor and keep them there all night. Music can make or beak the day, and I can say that with Neil there, the day will be all the more special. To know that you don't have to worry about that aspect when Neil is at the helm, is a pleasure and your friends will have the best time ever.
Each time that I've been at an event with Neil there, I have enjoyed myself immensely. He has the knack that I have yet to encounter with anyone else.
I cannot wait for my wedding day, where Neil will be there without a shadow of a doubt. making it even more special.
Wow!!! Over the years Neil has continued to impress me with his intuition (on how to meet his clients expectations) and passion for his profession which allows for nothing but positive results no matter what the occasion.
I would not hesitate to recommend him to anyone seeking a professional, caring and enthusiastic indivuidual who gives his best all of the time time.
I have been to many weddings, including Neil's own, where he has DJ'd. The music selection for the age & type of person whose wedding it is, is brilliant. Neil is incredably good at judging the mood of the guests and playing the appropriate music at the right time. The dance floor is always full and if the dance floor is full, it means that everyone is having a great time. the music can make or break a wedding and I would strongly suggest that one chooses Neil as it will definately make the difference to your special day.
Neil was refered to us by a good friend & we couldnt have been happier with the way our wedding turned out! He never missed a beat when it came to the ceremony - he got every intro, walk in, start to a speech & end to a speech exactly right & when the real fun began & the dance floor was open we couldnt have been more pleased.My husband & I have completely different tastes in music & he managed to please us both & all our friends. What I really appreciated was our pre-wedding consultation.We were supplied with play lists which we could choose from & discussed exactly where he would set up what to get the best results during the ceremony & the reception.Its not every day that someone you hire becomes a friend & even though we live far from each other Im honoured to say we have made friends for life! We got married April 2008 and couldn't thank Mr Dallas enough for his integral part in making the night a big success and a big party !!! Thanks Neil, we'll definitely be using your services again in future.

We got married in April 2008 and when it was time to book a DJ only one name came to mind - Neil Dallas. We attended a wedding where Neil was the DJ and both Wynand and I unanimously agreed that we want Neil to be our DJ.
Neil has the best ability to read a crowd that I have ever experienced. The music selection is endless and he caterers for everyone. Music is a very key ingredient for a special wedding day and I can assure you that with Neil as your DJ you will have a wonderful wedding. Neil is very professional and his equipment is off high standard. I will definitely recommend Neil for any celebration.
They say that music can really make or break a function, and this is so very true! When we arranged for Neil to be the DJ at our wedding, we could cross it off the "to do" list, and did not have to worry about it again. We had a real mix of young, middle age and older people at our wedding, and the selection of music that Neil played appealed to everyone. There was hardly ever a time that the dancefloor was not packed with our guests having a real party! Neils ability to "case out" the guests and the mood really made the evening such a success, and my husband and I had so much fun! Neil can find any song that you want, and the way he selects the songs depending on the mood is brilliant! I absolutely recommend Neil and Absolute Music for a fantastic function!!

Neil has done our wedding, my sisters wedding, my friends weddings and my husband's 40th. Needless to say I have been at countless functions where he has been the DJ and not a single one of those I did not dance until I had blisters on my feet. He is unbelievably good at reading a crowd and adapt the music accordingly, which is done with ease due to his extensive music collection and the use of only the latest technology - no changing of CD's thank goodness! Beside the music, he is a good one to bounce ideas off, as his been there, done that and seen it all. Thanks Neil for the countless good times I've had because of you!
Neil was the DJ at my 21st, my wedding, my sisters wedding and practically half of my friends weddings, 21st and now 40th's! Neil completely made our 21st and wedding the success that it was. Not only were the young up and dancing but the "oldies" had enough entertainment/ variety to keep them going to.
Neil is able to read the mood of the guests and chop and change the play as necessary. However, the dance floor is never empty! He is organised, gives good suggestions and completely reliable!
I will be definitely be contacting him when I turn 40!
Neil was the DJ at our wedding on 29 November 2008. Absolutely fantastic. Guests danced the whole evening - till the last minute.
WOW, What a DJ. I attended a wedding in March 2007 where Neil was playing. At that stage I was not even engaged yet, but I told my boyfriend…”If we ever get married, this will be our DJ!” Well, I did get my wish in the end…getting married and having the most amazing DJ!
Neil is extremely organized and we did not need to worry about a thing. We literally just had to turn up! Our ceremony was outside and he handled everything, from playing the wedding march, organizing the microphones till keeping the party going at 2pm! I have to say at one point I actually wanted him to play some horrible stuff, because my guests did just not want to leave the party…and I was ready to go!
He has the ability to read a crowd and give them exactly what they want. I always say that the success of a wedding should be measured by the time the older people are willing to stick around. They usually go home early because they don’t like the music. Well, not with Neil, he somehow managed to keep everyone happy all the time…even the difficult Afrikaans Boere with a little bit of “Kaptein span die seile”!
I will recommend Neil 1000 times over and I hope he will be around for a long while, because I am already looking forward to my 40th birthday bash with him playing the latest hits…and some amazing golden oldies! Thanks Neil, you are the best!
Kerry and I decided to do our wedding a little different and stretch it out over 3 weeks, rather than have a wedding day. Our reception was the last of the events and having Neil as the DJ was one of the best decisions. He arrived early and set up his equipment and tested everything prior to any guests arriving. His equipment is of a very high standard ( and volume ) and Neil made everyone get up and dance. I had numerous guests complimenting us on the DJ and even had one lady complain how sore her feet and legs were on Sunday from all the dancing. Neil also has a huge selection of music which pleased everyone from the 16 year olds to the 84 year old range of our guests.
We can recommend Neil and will definitely make use of his services again for functions as the evening ( and wee hours of the morning ) were definitely what we had hoped for .... a blast of fun and a huge success.

Hope these funny emoticons give you an indication of how much we enjoyed the 'magic you spun' for us at our wedding at The Clarendon.
Its so weird how at some parties, things only start heating up once most of the guests have left and we can let our hair down. But who cares, everything you played was great! (Pity it had to be a Sunday otherwise I'd not want to leave the dance floor and i reckon more people would have stayed on to party!)
Use us as a reference, if you wish, although we think you're way passed that stage already. Great stuff!!

After Neil having a family drama at the start of our wedding,he still remained extrememly professional,without interferring with our day. I hadnt even realised anything had happened until a week later...everything was perfect,from the setting up,to the music...which had everyone going until the very end...I have had so many compliments on the music,and can only recommend Neil.

Neil is incredibly talented - he is in touch with the mood of the guests and singlehandedly got - and kept - the party going all night; in fact we simply couldn't get our guests off the dance floor!!!!

We got married on New Year's Eve so we planned to have a wedding and party all rolled into one. Neil managed (with a very difficult crowd of all ages and tastes!) to ensure that everyone enjoyed themselves. He went above and beyond by staying later than planned.
His personal service is incredible and his ideas and guidance for the music at the wedding were excellent. I can definitely highly recommend him.

Neil was an absolute blessing to work with. From the time we met till our wedding day, he maintained a reliable,professional and friendly approach. He arrived early to set up, wore formal attire, and covered his equipment in white cloth, which fit in perfectly with the wedding decor. The quality of sound was amazing, he played our choice of music on queue, and read the crowd well regarding what they enjoyed. We had 30 kids at our wedding, running and screaming amok, he managed to entertain them without having to interfere with the program. The kids loved him of course. Another huge fan of neil's, is my father-law, who kept talking about what a fantastic person he (neil) is and thanks to him the beauty of the day was amplified.
We are really grateful and blessed to have met and worked with Neil. Without him, our wedding day would have been rhythm-less. He is an outstanding person and we highly recommend him to all couples getting married and for any occasion that requires a touch of musical finesse.

We, and all our guests, were on the dance floor almost permanently! The music was excellent, and exactly what we wanted and like!
There was hardly space for a mouse on the dance floor, which is always a clear sign of a great DJ!
From the start he was on the same page as us regarding our music preferences, and he was very easy to work with.

All I had to tell Neil was that we love rock, and I hate Nelly the Elephant and Living Next Door to Alice...the rest was all him and his amazing ability to judge crowds.
